This year's Shunsetsu Touka has the theme of "Little Dragon's Joy" and will decorate the entire city with gorgeous illuminations.
The main dragon lantern, one of the largest in Japan, is displayed on Chinatown Boulevard, and cute, smaller dragons fly in the night sky over Chinatown on Shanghai Road. Red lanterns unique to Shunsetsu are lined up along each street, brightly illuminating the streets of Yokohama Chinatown.
The illuminations spread throughout Yokohama Chinatown, attracting visitors and making the winter scenery of Yokohama Chinatown even more charming.
The bright and colorful red and yellow lanterns that are characteristic of Shunsetsu will be illuminated using environmentally friendly LEDs.
Additionally, a 200-meter-long "Light Promenade" will be created stretching from the central entrance of Yamashita Park to the Chaoyangmon Gate of Yokohama Chinatown, connecting Chinatown with the surrounding tourist spots with light.
