Local elementary school students will reuse plastic bottles collected from the canal to create decorated lanterns, which will then be displayed along the canal as illuminations using LED bulbs.

- I-Canal Street, a shopping street in Ishikawacho, Naka Ward, Yokohama, was once a key canal transportation route connecting the port and the city.
- Plastic bottles collected from the canal are recycled and illuminated with LED bulbs
