About the NPO Sea Forest and Mountain Forest Office

In addition to hosting and managing visual concerts that feature film screenings and musical performances related to the natural environment, the organization also plans and manages events such as lectures to raise awareness of environmental protection and sea and mountain experience seminars for young people.
Its aims are to contribute to the conservation of the natural environment, the promotion of the arts through photography, video and other visual media, and the healthy development of young people.

Main activities

  • "Three Old Men: Plastic Garbage Busters"
Which ocean has the most plastic waste?
To answer children's questions, three old men are walking 435.09 kilometers of the coastline of Kanagawa Prefecture picking up trash.
There is a lot of plastic waste on every beach, and we are also conducting research to determine what type of waste is most prevalent.
  • "Operation Microplastic Eradication"
Actual microplastic particles were collected from Shonan Beach and other locations.
We will think about how to turn microplastics into microplastics and practice ways to eliminate and reuse microplastics.
